Welcome and thank you for your interest in joining the Practitioner Network of Dayton Area Labor Support Inc. We are the first non profit organization that supports birth professionals caring for Miami Valley’s birthing families. We are a network of nurses, doulas, childbirth educators, lactation consultants, massage therapists, yoga teachers, energy therapists, herbalists and integrative practitioners who desire to serve childbearing families in Montgomery and surrounding counties. Our passion for families leads us to strive to be an exceptional resource of training, continuing education and mutual support as we commit ourselves to enhancing the family’s experience of their birthing year. We have chosen to make a strong commitment in assisting our practitioners in their desire to be the best birth professional they can be.

May participate in the Student Doula Program

We have developed the Miami Valley’s first Student Doula Program. New Student Doula's who have completed their training through a nationally recognized, evidence based training program are offered the opportunity to Shadow a Certified Doula Practitioner as they serve a family during their birth experience. As they progress to our Apprentice Doula phase, they have an opportunity to be placed on our network roster and may receive contacts for their certification births. Students find the community support of our organization invaluable as they start their own practices.

Please contact us for our Practitioner Network Application Form. This information is intended to give us an idea of the current state of your business, what ever that is. Each of our business models is as different as we are. Some of us started out with home based small part time businesses and others have added a birth related skill to an existing business. This is a way for you to share your vision for your business with others in your community. We use the information to generate educational opportunities that will enrich and empower your dream.

Upon receipt of the Application Form and payment you will be added to our roster as an Applicant, Affiliate or Supporter. Upon completion of the remainder of the Application Process and a personal interview with two members of our Board of Trustees you may be added to our Student or Practitioner Professional Roster. Please contact us with any questions or concerns you might have.
